We Can Make a Difference
At Kiddywinkles, we’re all about people. Yes, we’re an early learning centre, but more than that, we’re a part of this community. And when someone’s doing it tough, we believe it’s our job to step in and help where we can.
That’s why we’ve launched our Give a Little, Help a Lot food drive to support the incredible team at The Salvation Army’s Westgate Food Bank.
From 19 May to 19 June, we’re asking our Kiddywinkles families and the wider community to drop off canned food to our Huapai or Westgate centres. Whether it’s one can or a whole box, every single item will go to a local family that needs it.
This isn’t just about filling a pantry — it’s about showing up for people when life throws them a curveball. Job loss, illness, sudden bills... sometimes good people just need a bit of help to get through a tough patch. The Food Bank offers more than food, they give people support and a way forward.
We’ve been lucky to have some amazing Kiwis like Toni Street, Simon Barnett, and Joseph Parker help spread the word. They’ve lent their voices to this because they care, just like we do.
So, if you can spare a can (or a few), pop it into the big collection barrel next time you visit. Let’s show what this community is made of.
